The late Michelle Zimbalist Rosaldo wrote an essay on emotions as
embodied thoughts in Shweder and Levine, _Culture Theory: Essays on Mind,
Self and Emotion_.

Marina Roseman did something similar in discussing how music works in
Temiar healing rituals. She described music as both humanized sounds and
sounded emotions, or something like that.
