most desire" (Purcell, _Dido & Aeneas_).

I'm wondering about Flame Threads in general. Since Danny Yee has
chosen to archive anthro-l, could he perhaps sort the various flame
topics and calibrate their intensity?

My curiosity goes back to the threads on primitive warfare. Are we
seeing a phenomena related to the motivation component of the equation
for war?

Both seem to often be irrational and overstated reactions to ideas and/or
actions that are misunderstood. I'm wondering most about perhaps
unrecognized components of the subject of dispute. What is it about a
particular topic that generates responses of anger rather than reasoned
argument? Or, perhaps it is not the topic but the manner of presentation
or the manner of rebuttal that is significant. Any thoughts?
