Sapir/Whorf and Romance languages

Since this thread one gender/language is still spinning, let"s try this
hypothesis:

Since Spanish has almost no 3rd person pronouns which are genderless, would not
Sapir/Whorf lead us to suspect that monolingual speakers of Spanish will tend
to offer more resistance to unisexing rights, privileges, courtesies, and even
facilities, etc. than monolingual speakers of some of the lnaguages which have
been mentioned which seem to have almost no gendered pronouns?

This strikes me as a challenge to rigorous research. How about an exchange of
specific proposals?

Thanks to Church Coker (Sat. Post) for the inspiration.
