I disagree with Salovesh. The definition of cultural relativity that he
provides is the one that I have always used for cultural relativism. I
think we have let Allan Bloom redefine it for us such that some think it
means the second--the ideological extremism. I think Jacobson is
correct--ook at the discussions by Spiro and also the article by Alison
Renteln in AA volume 90, 1988.
