I am writing a review chapter on SIBLING CAREGIVING for a "Handbook of
Parenting" edited by Marc Bornstein. The main focus of the review is on
siblings or the sib-group during childhood and adolescence. I am especially
interested in the transmission of cultural knowledge: The negotiation of the
"picking-out" and "picking-up" of information by child novices and experts in
