Hello to all! I'm a senior at Knox College in Illinois, in the process of
applying to graduate schools. I'm majoring in Sociology-Anthropology and
Southeast Asian Studies, and currently working on a project about the
wayang kulit in Indonesia. I'm interested in anthropology programs at schools
that are also strong in Southeast Asian studies, either within the department
or separately. My main area of interest is Indonesia, and I am leaning towards
cultural anthropology. If anyone could give me any suggestions about schools
to apply to, I'd really appreciate it. Also, I've received information from
several schools and am curious as to what the actual environment within the
department is like--either from a faculty or student standpoint. If anyone
could tell me anything about:
