Douglass, when Happy Leacock and I were in Samoa, we found that at
parties and also at formal occasions in the governor's mansion, where
there were usually folks from Hawaii and Tahiti, etc., they did the
traditional dances, especially the Hawaiians and Tahitians, with great
vigor, shimmying, and with considerable hip movement by the Tahitians.
It"s great. Since many Samoans and other Polynesians live in San Francisco.
maybe we can get some of them to dance at the AAA panel someof us
