Dear Anthro-L,
I am asking you to post this notice to the list. I am secretary
of the Society for the Anthropology of Religion (SoFAR), Morton Klass
is President, and Sidney Greenfield is Vice-President.

The first annual meeting of the Society for the Anthropology
of Religion (SoFAR) will meet at Iona College on May 10-11.

It will be an organizational meeting and feature workshops on
Whither the Anthropology of Religion. Edith Turner will give the
keynote address on May 11, after the dinner. Registration will be
$10 and the dinner $15.

Iona College is in New Rochelle, NY. For those wishing to stay
overnight, the Ramada Inn is offering a special rate of $59. For
