watchdog/hound

Also, in the United States the term *dog* is used colloquially and
pejoratively (by sexist pigs) to describe an unattractive (by some shared
subcutlural values) woman. And the term *hound* is used colloquially and
pejoratively to desdribe a despicable man. So, depending on the intent of
the user, maybe *watchdog* might refer to an unattractive female watcher,
and *watchhound* might refer to a despicable male watcher. Robert Lawless,
