I agree with much of what you said and although I started to post to John's
"Do we read what we write" I became far too swamped at work to give it the
serious attention it deserved, so rather than do it half assed, I chose to
pass it by. However, as I research the history of the political role of the
UN, WHO, UNICEF and NGO's with regards to female genital mutilation (FGM), I
too wonder why there are not more discussions along this line.
