Speaking as an undergraduate student who spends her summers working with a
team of archaeologists, _working_ on sites and gaining _field experience_,
I would like to know myself. Is this suggesting that undergraduates are
too incompetant to do proper fieldwork? Because if it is, somebody should
tell my boss so that he can fire half his team and thus maintain his
professional and ethical standards.
