HISTORICAL ARCHAEOLOGIST POSITION OPEN

The University of South Florida, Department of Anthropology,
seeks a historical archaeologist for a tenure-track (9 month)
assistant professor position starting fall 1995. The position is
contingent upon the availability of funding; salary is
competitive. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Anthropology.
Preference will be given to candidates with teaching
experience, a strong research record in southeastern U.S.
historical archaeology, archaeological methods (including
quantitative analyses), and museology/exhibits preparation.

research (method and theory) and public archaeology
(including CRM and contract archaeology, interpretation,
education, and historic preservation). The University of South
