Entropy, anybody?

Just a footnote to the discussion of "entropy": Back in the days
when I was a chemist, somebody finally made me understand what
entropy was about by rephrasing the fundamentals into three basic
laws of thermodynamics:
1. You can't win.
2. You can't even break even.
3. You can't get out of the game.
All of which is equivalent to saying that entropy always increases
in a closed system.
Does that make everything perfectly muddy?
