A student of mine is researching her senior thesis on what happens to
women in transnational (international migration) communities. Since she
has done fieldwork among the Rom, Spain, she would like to compare the
experiences of Rom women with Muslim women (or W. African women) who now
live in Europe. She is interested in issues of power, identity,
assertion, etc.

Since this is rather far afield from my own research areas, I am of limited
resourcefulness, and thus I appeal to the list for suggested sources
and/or contacts.
