Anthropology should divest itself of aarchaeology ONLY IF:
Anthropology should give up its compaarative focus in the broad sense
History and culture change are irrelevant to anthropology
Human evolution is irrelevant to anthropology
Long-term cultural processes do not exist
We need not test our ideas about humans through the span of time
If you do not agree with these statements, then let's not hear frivolous
statements like "let's do away with archaeology" anymore.
