Karla Poewe is on to a good question. How does Radcliffe-Brown, and British
structural-functionalism generally, connect to what is a Weberian descendecy
in ethnomethodology? If there is a connection, historical or otherwise, I'm
very interested to know. It seems Karla is right that it is more cultural or
interpretive anthropology than social anthro (Garfinkel and Geertz do have a
common intellectual ancestor in Parsons).
