Barbara, When I was teaching anthropology at City University Press, a
number of us felt very badly about the exploitation of adjunct teachers
-- I started that way myself. We felt the union should do something, at
least about gettin health coverage for adjuncts. The union is the
Professional Staff Congress, part of the American Federation of
Teachers. The address of the PSC is 28 W. 44 St., New York, N.Y. l0036,
phone number: 2l2-354-l252. I've been away from the situation for a long
time, so I don't know what's happening now. But you might try the union.
