Heather,
I missed your earlier posts and am unsure of the question you are asking. Are
you interested in the increase in discourse about cultural sensitivity and the
increase in mandated training in cultural sensitivity in agencies and
businesses, or do you believe that individuals, agencies, organizations, and
other social groups are exhibiting less cultural insensitivity or cultural
intolerance than in the past and you wish to account for this change? BTW
positing political correctness as a cause for some sociological phenomena is
rather vague. Could you flesh that out just a bit?
The People of Color Leadership Institute in collaboration with the American
Humane Association published an "Annotated Bibliography of Resources on Cultural
Competence and Cultural Diversity in Child Welfare/Child Protection Services"
which contains several thousand entries.
