"Race" Errors!!

In my previous post I wrote:

TKavanagh caught the boo-boo and tried to hint to me to correct it but I was
rushed and didn't pick up on his original message. What I should have said
was that 50% preferred "American Indian" --which is part of the "racial"
designation used in this closed-ended survey (pre-defined answers); the
alternative is "American Indian, Eskimo or Aleut" to be precise. Then
another 37% preferred "Native American." Of course the *proportion* of the
sample in this "racial" category is small to begin with--about 1% of a
60,000 respondent sample...so these are percentages of a small group.
