I would very much appreciate if Rebecca Joseph and others working in
applied realms could narrate how they got there, and discuss how one
might go about evaluating the spectrum of possibilities.
Must one live in DC, or SF, or NY?
How viable is going back into an academic position after working in applied?
Is it possible to keep a foothold in both?
I read once, in Practicing Anthropology I think, that 60% of all Ph.D.s
work outside of academia. True? What happens if we do the breakdown only
for cultural anthropologists?
