Ivor Noel Hume and the women issue

Just to thank Jerry and Elizabeth for reminding me of
INH's comment on women's role in archaeology. For years
I carried a photocopy of that quote around, so I could
show people what made me so determined to be an
archaeologist. I'm glad to hear that perhaps the man
has seen the error of his ways. I've always thought
that those who were willing to ask questions were better
archaeologists than those who preferred to hack right
through the layers they didn't understand.
