I have to agree with Steve Mizrach's comment that if dowsing works it
could certainly be because of the natural electromagnetism in the human
body. I can't dowse either but I have seen it identify anomalies in the
soil as well as a magnatometer survey and actually when I have had
someone dowse for me "just for fun" we have had an almost 100% success
rate in identifying the subsurface foundations of old farmsteads etc.
I wouldn't want to stake my reputation on dowsing but I have seen it with
my own eyes...
