I'm not sure what the last sentence was intended to imply, but for
the record, all of the proceeds from Roger Keesing's published work
on the Kwaio of the Solomon Islands went to a Kwaio cultural
foundation in Malaita. Furthermore, Roger Keesing now is a ghost of
the natives. After his death last spring, the Kwaio asked to have
his remains placed with their ancestors on Malaita, and Roger's
family here was happy to accept their offer.
