interesting that you conjoin the two most important demon words being
bandied about today... pomo [the use of the diminuitive effectively
infantalizing the discussion] and politically correct....

both terms - like the epithet 'functionalist' of an earlier generation -
serve to foreclose debate, to ban discussion

which, btw, i am not suggesting was your intent...but seeing pomo and pc
in the same sentence....sets off alarm bells for me...
