Anthropological crowds

I was making the point that given the amount of research funding
available to anthropologists, the discipline is overcrowded. Neither fact
is desirable. However, given this situation, I reasoned that the post-
modernist camp would seem attractive - being a cheap way of getting
credibility within the discipline. This may well be a vicious circle,
leading to even less in the way of research funds.

There are plenty of things for anthropologists to study the problem is
that they are not studied.
