We are pleased to announce the establishment of a new academic journal
dedicated to publishing original research and reviews by graduate students
and other scholars in all four fields of the discipline:

Biological Anthropology
Archaeology
Social/cultural anthropology
Linguistics

The Harvard Journal of Anthropology (HJA), edited by graduate anthropology
students at Harvard University, will publish high quality papers
of interest to general anthropology as well as specialized research in each
of the subdisciplines.

***** CALL FOR PAPERS *****

The editors of HJA are currently interested in soliciting papers for the
premier issue, to be published in the fall of 1994. Anthropologists who
would like to contribute material to this and future issues of HJA are
encouraged to submit an inquiry or outline to the editorial board.
Selection is expected to be competitive. Inquiries related to the first
issue should be received by the editors no later than January 1, 1994.
