(ISAZ) will include sessions on:

Companion Animals
Farm Animals
Laboratory Animals
Wild and zoo animals


In each of these four sessions, talks and posters will be welcomed on:

* attitudes to animals
* animal behaviour problems and treatment
* representations of animals (e.g. in art and literature)
* the effects of humans on other animals and vice versa
* ethical and philosophical considerations of human-animal interactions
* historical and cultural aspects of human-animal interactions
* unorthodox relationships


In addition, a satellite symposium entitled, 'Concern, cruelty and
indifference: understanding attitudes towards animal welfare', (speakers
invited; open to all) will be organized by Dr. Elizabeth Paul (Edinburgh
University) from July 23rd to 24th, at the same venue.
