Dear Anthro-l'ers:

I am working in the College of Law at the U of Florida. A professor
here, Juan Perea, is currently editing a book on the "New Nativism" -
his interpretation of the situtation - i.e., the mood in this country
that is bringing about things such a Proposition 187 in CA. He is
looking for anthropologist who are writing/researching in this area:
immigration issues in the US, the new nativism, etc. He has asked me
to put out some feelers for him. He has already sociologists, poli
sci'ists, psychologists, and historians. He wants an anthropological
perspective...anybody got one?

If interested (the book is slated to be published early '96), please
let me know - I'm unsure of his email address, if he even is hooked
up yet.

Thanks for your indulgence,
