Purpose Of the Symposium

It is well known that our environment is shaped through both natural and
cultural dynamics and that humans play an increasingly significant role in
these processes. This symposium will examine these changes from an
Anthropological Perspective. Interdisciplinary sessions including
Anthropologists, Archaeologists, Ecologists, and Palynologists will examine
human relations to natural systems through a series of individual
presentations. Panel discussions will further explore the complex
questions facing the Ecological Sciences.
