Ah yes, Publius discovering a quirk, it has a nice circularity to it.

It's just a matter of time until things will be very different from how
they are now. Most likely anyone's prediction will be wrong, except for
the prediction in the previous sentence. By the way, can I call you Pube
for short?

Some may say this, but no evolutionary biologist would say it. There is
no reason to think that evolution has stopped. No one knows how long
humans will be around, but we can be confident that they are temporary.

First, we may not have an infinite amount of time in the universe.
Second, one organism's Ultimate Configuration of Life is another
organism's tasty meal. We only think we're cool because we are WE. Pure
egotism. Undoubtably, Publius's idea of UCOL is something like
humans only more so. God has always been a human ego trip.

Not really, and it's not really a matter of there being no evidence for
it. It hasn't really gotten as far as looking for evidence. First you
have to define it and propose experiments to prove or disprove it. Tell
us, Pube, how could one tell through observation whether there is a
"Vector or Order to Evolution"?
