The job market in anthropology is probably as grim as that in history. If
you go to grad school, you should really have an anthro. minor at least,
or you will have a lot of catching up to do. Also, many schools no longer
offer a core program in their graduate curricula, and they assume you are
already familiar with the basics. Unless you really have a burning desire
to be an anthro.and are willing to settle for a fiercely competitive
career to get one of a limited number of prime assignments, you might want
to consider something else.
