If you're interested in joining the AAA, go to your library and find a
copy of the anthropological Newsletter which is a monthly publication of
the organization. They have an application form in the back with all of
the information. Or, you can write the AAA at this address:

It costs $45 for a basic membership for a student (this includes the
Anthropological Newsletter) and then you have to join at least one
special division, like the General Anthropology Division or the Society
of Medical Anthropology or whatever you want. These cost about $20 for
student, and you receive another journal too. (I know all of this
because, as a first year graduate student, I just joined the AAA myself
last week).
