As I replied to you by email, my reference is the evidence of my own
eyes. It is irrelevant whether Islam condones or comdemns the
practice. Christianity condemns adultery, but it is extremely common in
Christian societies. My hunch, and it's just a hunch, is that the
common Moslem practice of polygamy has the effect of promoting
homosexuality. (And I'm not expressing any value judgement, for or
against.)
