evolution of language

i need any and all information (i.e. books, articles, web sites)
concerning the evolution of lanuage and when humans acquired the ability
to speak. I am attempting to do a research paper for honors credit in my
Human Evolution class at Illinois State University. Any information would
be greatly appreciated.
