Depends on how far you're driving. Driving 750 km takes 7.5 hours. For me
that's easier than figuring out how many hours it takes to drive 450 miles.

For distances under 60 miles, the 1 minute per mile rule is pretty handy.

Overall, I'd much prefer the US was using the metric system. It's damned
annoying when trying to double or triple a recipe you have to remember how
many teaspoons there are in a tablespoon, and how many tablespoons there are
in a cup.
