Ok, you are 1.825 meters tall and the label is 1.815...this is
much quicker to compute if it is in feet and inches, right...or
would darwinian selection remove all the individuals who can't
read metric heights to 3-4 decimal places?

If the meter were a bit shorter (or longer) such that folks were
some small number of whole meters and a coupla centimeters humans
would have an easier time with issues like this whereas the
foot/inch system allows a quicker comparison of crunch versus
smooth sailing.
