Well, they always tell that nobody ever needs such conversions. A better
test is: how many cubic inches is a gallon. Or more precise, you have to
build a rectangular container that holds a gallon. What dimensions would
you use? Or the other way around, I have a container 10"x5"x5". You
want to buy from me one gallon of beer. I fill the container; would you
accept that as being one gallon?
