anthroloplogy online

I recently returned to teaching anthropology after many years away from
the classroom. My students, at NC's Elon College, rely extensively upon
the internet for reference materials and entire articles which they
incorporate into research papers and other projects. I'm beginning to
make my peace with electronic research, but I lag far behind my students
in computer sophistication.
Can someone please offer some sources or suggestions on how online
anthropology is being used successfully and creatively in the profession?
I'd like to know where (other than this newsgroup) anthropologists get
information, and how one can determine if material has been plagiarized
from the internet.
Thanks.
