Looking into the burial practices of ancient cultures, I've become
interested in the practice of painting the body in a red dye or pigment.
Unfortunately, I've been unable to find a correlation between the cultural
practice and the culture's mythology. Some cultures had a mythology
maintaining red as the color of energy and life. Anyone think that painting
the bodies of the deceased red could be an attempt at ressurection?
