A good (and much more up to date) book, and one that disagrees strongly
with Chagnon's volume is "Into The Heart" by Kenneth Good (1991, Simon
& Schuster, N. Y.). Good and Chagnon worked together, apparently with
bad blood between them. I think you should probably read both books so
as to at least get two opposing viewpoints.
