Yet "swastika" is a Sanscrit word....

This speculation (pure bollocks?) doesn't explain the fourfold symmetry. Not
being in the northern hemisphere I don't know: are there two other bright
stars making up a right angle with the Pole Star (bent to the left when the
Pole Star is at the bottom)?
