I'm trying to find a reference for the origin of Blumenbach's category
of "Caucasian." I heard that it was from a skull believed to be of great
antiquity that was found in the Caucasus Mtns. in present-day Ukraine. Has
anyone heard of this? Thanks ahead of time.
