Okay, since none of you can see me I want to talk to some of
you who might be grappling with issues of a similar nature to
mine, or maybe not. Anthro has done a doozy on my worldview.
I've been thinking of going into medicine, but my faith in
biomedicine, although Japan is a success story compared to us,
somewhat sucks. The more I am exposed to cultures, necessarily
not as "literate" and confused as ours, the more I understand
that it is their lives that make sense, and not ours. Okay, I
know, and don't send me children's literature to brighten the
day. I'm just wondering if this is somehow particular to a
feild of study such as ours.
