I posted this question earlier this week, but so far no one has
replied. The rather wordy manner in phrased the original post may be at
fault. This repost is an attempt to make the question more
reader-friendly. Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer it!

So, B is a first-cousin-once-removed of A, and B and C are each
other's second cousins. From B's perspective, what type of cousin is A?
How does one distinguish B's relatedness to A with B's relatedness to C?
