Maybe very short term malnutrition, but over longer periods of time, there
has been extensive research and publication, particularly by Jane
Buikstra, Mark Kelly, and other physical anthropologists studying
prehistoric *New World* populations. As this in a field in which I'm
currently doing research, I could post an ample bibliography, if desired.
