In many places of the Pacific the pig is the only good-sized animal, so
that, for instance, new words coined for "sheep", "horse", "cow", etc.,
contain the word "pig". Man as food, then, would normally be called
"pig" (e.g. Fijian: vuaka levu), regardless of its taste. What else
could they call it? Chicken? Rat? Flying fox?
