Help identify a projectile point

I grew up in Western NC near the SC border. I used to be able to find
quite a few strange points that did not match any of the points in the
references I had. The points were always made out of white quartz and
were 2-3.5 inches in length, about 1-1.5 inches wide and up to about
0.75 inches thick. There was no obvious groove for attaching a shaft or
handle but the base was basically flat. (I have found basic fluted type
arrow heads, these are different.) The closest I have found in size and
shape might be something like a Clovis point, without a groove and
fatter.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
