The February 9, 1995 Nature along with the February 25,1994 Science had
some excellent reports on erectus leaving Africa about 1 million years
sooner than previously thought.

The Nature articles deal with the mandible found in Soviet Georgia, while
the reports in Science a year earlier dealt with erectus sites in Java.
