I'd love to see the reference. I've looked at Oxnard's book, and Pongo is
even less efficient at knuckle-walking than we would be. I know we're more
bipedal in torso anatomy than Pongo, but my point is that morphology
tracks behavior at some distance, so early A. could have k-walked some
without it being expressed in the hand.
