BRIAN FAGAN is the author of sixteen previous books and textbooks on
archeology and is a highly regarded expert on archeology and
anthropology. His work has appeared in National Geographic, Scientific
American, GQ, and History Today, among other publications; he also writes
a regular column for Archaeology magazine. He is currently professor of
anthropology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and lives in
Santa Barbara, California.
